Thuraya SO-2510 Single-Mode Satellite Phone
Thuraya's handheld satellite telephones use geosynchronous satellites to provide Voice, Internet/Data, Fax, short messaging (SMS),
and GPRS.
Remote location determination services via (GPS) are also possible. Satellite coverage is now available in hundreds of countries
spanning a large region of northern, central and western Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia and the Indian Subcontinent. Certain
models have
GSM cellular capability.

The smallest Thuraya phone available is the SO-2510 which weighs only 4.6 oz and offers polyphonic ring tones, a
65,000-color screen, and GPS. The standard SO-2510 kit includes the phone, battery, AC charger with international plug kit, earbud,
and a USB data cable.
Options include: DC auto charger, solar charger,
watertight Pelican impact case, and a
FDU-3500 Fixed Docking Unit with external antenna set which allows you to use the Thuraya
from inside a building for voice, data, or G3 fax communications. Solar charger
with soft carry case and internal battery. Soft carry case has compartment for the Thuraya phone and its DC charger.
