EMS Storm
EMS Storm: Extreme Economy, Extreme Versatility
The EMS Storm includes a
built-in multiplexer allowing two EMS Storm units to be bridged to achieve 128,000 bps (bridge cable required). By
comparison, the Nera and Thrane & Thrane Inmarsat M4 terminals require an additional external multiplexer option.
Mobile packet data service (MDPS) comes standard if you need "always-on" internet access.
The Storm's transceiver can also be mated to a vehicular antenna (see below) if you need your 64,000 bps on the move.
The Storm includes a black nylon softcase. Outfitter provides standard hardcase and G3 fax combo hardcase options.
The Storm is extremely rugged and can operate between -25°C to +55°C in conditions of high humidity.
The antenna is capable of continuous external use in all weather conditions.

Secure Voice, Fax, & Data Communications
The EMS Storm supports
secure STU III / IIB communications. The peripheral encrypting phone/data equipment
required for this kind of application should be acquired through authorized government channels.
Outfitter can supply the Inmarsat M4 terminal and airtime services.

Vehicular Inmarsat M4
ISDN Voice, Fax, and Data -- on the move
The EMS Cyclone is a vehicular version of the Storm. The
system will maintain a constant lock on the satellite to
provide 64,000 bps internet access, as well as voice or fax communications -- even while you are
travelling. Full 128,000 bps communications can be achieved if your
vehicle is large enough to support two vehicular antennas.
Outfitter also offers realtime
video communication
equipment for use
with the Storm and Cyclone.
